Dr. Susan Moxley is a graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced at Peachtree Veterinary Clinic in Montgomery County, MD for 16 years and became a co-owner and full time manager for 8 years.
With her guidance the practice grew and was rated the best practice in the Washington D.C. area for a number of years by surveys conducted of clients. Her attention to patient care and client communication and detail made this distinction possible, as did her many years of experience making pets well. With the sale of the practice to a corporation, Dr. Moxley wanted a smaller practice that offered high-quality veterinary care and started Vet Trek with Dr. Hoewing.
Dr. Sara Hoewing is also a graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. At the age of 14, she began volunteering at Peachtree Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Moxley and has worked in the veterinary field ever since.
She has the unique knowledge obtained from experience as an animal caretaker, veterinary technician, receptionist, intern and finally as the veterinarian. During her veterinary career she has treated many species of animals including cows, pigs, horses, sheep, goats, alpacas, rats, rabbits, cats and dogs.
Although she has a huge variety of veterinary experience, for the last four years she has focused solely on small animals, where she worked in Mount Airy for three years at a busy, high volume small animal practice. She wanted to have a smaller practice but still offer high-quality care. Therefore, she and Dr. Moxley started Vet Trek.
Both Dr. Susan and Dr. Sara graduated with honors from veterinary school and were sponsored by faculty members to become members of Phi Zeta, the veterinary honors society. They are both members of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
We also have partnered with another mobile veterinary clinic Seibel Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Sherry Seibel. Dr. Seibel serves Carroll County, bringing high quality care to her patients in their home. Additionally Dr. Hoewing, Dr. Moxley and Dr. Seibel work together performing surgeries and managing medical cases. If you live in Carroll County and are interested in high-quality, in-home veterinary care please call Dr. Siebel at 301.639.8766, or you may contact Vet Trek.
